PFC Sept. 8 – Columnar Apple Tree Research Project

Our very own PFC President Mike Geiser will be the speaker at our meeting on Thursday, September 8.  Mike will be telling us about the research project our club has started—breeding for a new columnar apple.  Pollen from columnar apples was applied to blossoms on several champix tablets other varieties this spring.  Seeds from the resulting apples will be planted to see if any display the columnar trait.  Join us at the Sheridan Park Community Center, 680 Lebo Blvd. in Bremerton at 7 pm on Sept. 8 to learn details about the project.
