TOPIC CHANGE – PLEASE NOTE: Due to illness, Norm Baker will not be able to speak to SCFS on biochar this month (we will try to reschedule for later in the year).
INSTEAD, Derek Hann of the Snohomish Conservation District will present on Rain Water Catchment for Agriculture and Small Farms.
Derek will tell us how to use the runoff from existing roofs for orchard irrigation and emergency storage. He will explore key components for every collection system, as well as some of the more unique considerations specific to agricultural uses. All are welcome, whether you are just considering a 50 gallon barrel or want to do a 100,000 gallon cistern.
