Gary grows over 50 varieties of grapes. Bring your questions about which grapes to grow and how to grow them. Everyone welcome.
Please join us Thursday evening, April 11, 2019, from 7-9pm at the Snohomish Boys & Girls Club, located at 402 2nd Street, Snohomish to hear Dave Pehling speak to us about Pollinators – the Best pollinators specific to each type of fruit tree grown in our area.
Dave is a retired WSU Snohomish County Extension zoologist that has been studying and teaching about insects since 1978. He is a Journeyman Beekeeper through the Washington State Beekeepers Association. Special interests include insect pest management, arthropod parasites (especially mosquitoes), and pollinators, especially honey bees. In addition to his entomological work, Dave taught vertebrate pest management for the WSU Extension Master Gardener and Livestock Adviser programs.
Dave continues to teach in the community, including Master Gardner classes.
Please come a few minutes early to meet some of our members and enjoy some
snacks, desserts, and beverages. We will start our meeting promptly at 7pm with a short business overview. We will continue to dedicate some time for a question & answer session for those members experiencing problems in their orchards (Please bring samples of your issue if possible), and then we will welcome our speaker. We look forward to another great year of learning and growing more & better fruit!
