Dear Fruit Researcher,
You are invited to submit a fruit research grant proposal to Western Cascade Fruit Society (WCFS). WCFS is committed to fruit research that benefits backyard and hobby growers of fruit trees and small fruits in western Washington.
The WCFS Board has approved a budget of $5000/year for research projects. Depending upon the number of projects funded, grant awards could range from a few hundred dollars/year up to $5000/year.
There are two expedited funding cycles each year. One cycle awards projects in mid-March, the other in mid-September. One application per year per applicant is accepted.
Proposals for the March funding cycle are due to the Research Committee by midnight on January 15th PST. Late proposals will not be accepted. Monies awarded will be sent to recipients shortly after the WCFS Board meeting in mid-March.
Applications for September funding will be due by midnight on July 15 PDT. Late proposals will not be accepted. Monies awarded will be sent to recipients shortly after the WCFS Board meeting in mid-September.
