On Thursday, August 12 at 7 pm, Peninsula Fruit Club will have a presentation on Actively Aerated Compost Tea (AACT) from Wanda and Leonard Horst and Judi Stewart, members of NOFC and OOS. The three have many years of experience making AACT and have attended classes in Corvallis, Oregon with Dr. Elaine Ingham, President of Soil Food Web. Information will include: what is compost tea, how it is made and used, and the reported benefits. The Horsts will bring their microscope camera so all will be able to see in real time, the microbes in the compost tea. Join us at the Sheridan Community Center, 680 Lebo Blvd. and Clare Ave. in East Bremerton.
