SCFS presents “Growing Kiwis in the NW” 4/12

Snohomish County Fruit Society (SCFS) will hold their next meeting on Thursday, April 12th at 7-9pm in the Snohomish Library.  “Growing Kiwis in the Northwest” will be presented by Hildegaard Hendrickson, a member of the Seattle Tree Fruit Society, with over 25 years of experience in growing kiwis. The NEW Snohomish County Fruit Society (SCFS) is the newest chapter of Western Cascade Fruit Society (WCFS) www.wcfs.org. The meeting is open to the public and everyone is invited. A Reminder – PFC’s Spring Grafting Show

Just a reminder……..Peninsula Fruit Club’s Spring Grafting Show happens next Saturday, March 17 from 10 to 4 at the Silverdale Community Center.  There will be a great selection of scion wood to browse for interesting cultivars to add to your orchards.  We’ll have EMLA 26 apple rootstock and OHFx333 pear rootstock, potted and bare root small fruits, footies, grafting knives, etc.  The presentation schedule is:  11:30 Mason Bees, 12:30 Espalier, 1:30 Apple Maggot & Codling Moth, and 2:30 Blueberry Pruning.  See our brochure for location details http://wcfs.org/wp-content/uploads/2012GraftingFlyerRev3.pdf .

Snohomish Chapter March Meeting

The March meeting of the Snohomish County Fruit Society will be held on Thursday, March 8th, 7-9 PM at the Snohomish Library (311 Maple St) in the multi-purpose room.
